The Burns Supper, an iconic and popular event here in Bucharest, is a special event and support the work of Light into Europe! It will be held on the 2nd February 2019 starting at 6:30pm at the InterContinental Hotel.
Burns Supper gives us an excuse to celebrate Scotland's national poet, Robert Burns, with lots of food, drink and dancing in support of our mission to build a better future for Romanian Blind and Deaf persons.
Join us for an outstanding 4 course meal, plenty of whisky, wine and beer and of course the Feis Rois band from Scotland to pipe in the Haggis and lead the Scottish dancing. We will also have the Burns Supper cultural speeches including the Address to the Haggis and recitals of Burns poetry.
Tickets cost €129 or RON600 and are available by emailing burns-supper@lightintoeurope.org or calling 0744 541 774. Tickets are only available in advance.
Finally, don’t forget to join us for a free Scottish dance practices on the 27th January from 7-9pm at the InterContinental to refresh your dancing ready for the night itself.
